AHMED AND ELIZABETH ROGERS

LEAD PASTORS

Ahmed's childhood was rooted in a Christian home, but it wasn't until he was 18 that he chose to follow Jesus. Ahmed was born with a rare heart condition that required multiple surgeries throughout his life. At 16, doctors recommended a risky open-heart surgery. Despite facing the possibility of death, Ahmed still hadn't given his life to Christ. After the surgery, he returned to his gang life and was even kicked out of High School. But God had a plan for Ahmed's life. He made a way for him to return to school, and at his new school, a stranger told him that God was waiting for him to make a choice. Ahmed knew he couldn't run away anymore and surrendered his life to Christ. At age 20, Ahmed met the love of his life, Elizabeth. On their third phone call, Ahmed exclaimed, "You're going to be my wife!" and Elizabeth laughed it off. But by December of that same year, they were engaged! They tied the knot the following June and now have three amazing children together: Noah, Ahmaya, and Elenah Rogers. Ahmed and Elizabeth have served as Pastors for 5 years and have a heart for children's ministry.

KEVINTH ACEVEDO AND MARIANNE MENDEZ

CHURCH PLANT TEAM

Kevinth attended his first church service at the age of 15 and became curious and wanted to learn more about what he had heard. He picked up a bible and began to read it. After reading the scriptures, he decided to emulate what was in it, and after some time his life began changing. True conviction came, and he knew he had found truth and salvation in Jesus. He then decided to follow Christ and has been serving the Lord ever since.

Marianne grew up hearing and learning about the gospel of Jesus. As a child, she preached to her dolls and stuffed animals and felt very passionate about experiencing the Lord in her life. But, as she got older life became difficult and she became discouraged and disappointed by the world around her, and at 18 she walked away from the truth she had known. After 10 years of running from God and the Holy Spirit knocking on her heart, she surrendered and accepted that Jesus Christ is the only truth she needs, and human failures where not a representation of His character.

In 2018 she met Kevinth, and after a year of friendship they decided to see if their relationship could be something more. In 2020 they married and now have two children. They both share a passion for worship, serving within ministry and helping others connect with the everlasting love that transformed their lives.
